ITS has received numerous reports of a new phishing attack that is being directed towards Denison email accounts. This one has a subject of “[Office360] Email Account Disability!” and provides a link to “Enhance to new version of Microsoft Office 365”.

This is another scam email. Please DO NOT REPLY or CLICK THE LINK in the email. Instead, in Gmail please click the dropdown arrow next to the Reply icon and select “Report Spam” or “Report Phishing” to report the email to Google.

If you have already clicked on a suspicious link, please…

  • change your BigRedID password immediately (in MyDenison, choose “My Apps” then “Change my BigRedID password”)
  • contact the ITS Help Desk if you are concerned that your system may be infected.

Simply click “Upgrade” when prompted and the new Pulse Secure client will download and install. Please note, on a Windows computer you must reboot after the installation.
  • If you are currently using Network Connect to connect to remote.denison.edu, we recommend that you switch to using the new Pulse Secure client. Banner/Cognos/Admin Systems Users: If you are using Remote Access to connect to Banner or other administrative systems on campus over wireless, you now have a new wireless alternative – the eduroam secure wireless network. When connected to eduroam you do not need to use Remote Access/VPN to connect to Banner and other administrative systems. To learn more about eduroam, please see the wireless network section in MyDenison.
