Denison Information Technology Services (ITS) will be applying Banner updates on Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM EDT that will impact access to Banner and related systems (all environments). Users will not be able to access these services during this time.
Affected services (all environments) include:
- Banner Admin Pages
- Banner Self-Service
- Xtender
- Jaggaer (e-procurement)
- Cognos
- MyDenison content that relies on Banner data

Errant Test Email from KnowBe4 10/28/20
Some employees may have received a test email from KnowBe4, which was mistakenly sent out at 5:00 PM on 10/28/20. The sample email has an incorrect Denison logo at the bottom. The actual email for KnowBe4 cybersecurity training will go out on 10/29/20.

Workaround for Cognos Non-Responsive Buttons
Information Technology Services (ITS) has discovered an issue in Cognos while using newer versions of Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. The issue is outlined below:
Issue:
Buttons are unresponsive in the User Interface. For example, if you run a report and a prompt is generated and you make a selection then attempt to hit OK or Finish, nothing happens.
Temporary Workaround:
Use Internet Explorer (IE) if your favored browser is rendering this issue. Note: IE is different from Edge. You may need to search your programs to find IE by using your Windows search for Finder on a Mac.
Long Term Fix:
Upgrade Cognos. Next week we will begin the necessary steps to upgrade and patch Cognos and will communicate when those patches will be released.
