Network maintenance will be performed between 5:00AM and 7:00AM on February 17th. We do not expect this maintenance to cause network outages.

Update 2/12/15 9:17pm:

The network equipment in question has been restored to normal conditions.  We believe the issue to have been resolved at this time.

We are investigating anomalous activity on our network equipment that may be causing disruption for wired and wireless network connections, although there have been no such reports thus far.

Completed: On Thursday February 12, 2015 starting at 6:00 AM, an updated Financial Aid package is required to implement the new Federal regulations governing the PELL grants received by our students.

This upgrade should take around 30 minutes and it will only impact the Financial Aid module and its users.

On 02/10/15 ITS will roll-out an upgrade to the McAfee Agent on Denison-owned Windows computers. This upgrade is “silent” and will not impact your ability to use your computer while it is happening. Between 6:15 and 6:30 AM, ITS will perform routine maintenance to the Denison BigRedID Login infrastructure. During this maintenance period users may not be able to login to BigRedID based services such as Denison Apps, MyDenison, and other services.

ITS will be performing network maintenance on Tuesday 2/3/15 from 5:00-7:00AM which may result in the loss of the wired or wireless network in the following locations.

Doane Administration Building

Please do not edit files over the network or submit information online during this time period as your work may be lost when the network outages occur.

ITS is planning to install latest updates on Novell OES servers hosting shared network drives (PERSONAL, SHARED, MEDIA, SCRATCH, etc) on Tuesday, 2/3/15 between 4:00am and 7:30am.  As these updates are being applied, there will be short outages for the above network drives and printing while servers are updated and rebooted to complete installation.

Updates on the server have been completed.  If you have a problem using a listserv or accessing the listserv system, please contact the Helpdesk.

As these updates are being applied, there will be short outages while servers are updated and rebooted during the installation. Delivery of email sent to a list during the maintenance will be delayed until after maintenance is complete.

The Software Downloads channel has been updated with a new JMP download for Windows computers and with clarified instructions for Mac computers re: selecting the license file. Please contact the ITS Help Desk at 740-587-6395 or helpdesk@denison.edu if you still experience problems.

Several students have reported that they are receiving an “expired license” error after downloading and installing JMP from MyDenison. ITS is investigating and will update the download as soon as possible. In the meantime, if you experience this error please follow the steps outlined in THIS FAQ to update your license so you can use JMP.
