ITS is planning to install latest updates on servers hosting shared network drives (PERSONAL, SHARED, MEDIA, SCRATCH, etc) on Thursday, 8/4/16 between 4:00am and 7:30am. As these updates are being applied, there will be short outages for the above network drives and printing while servers are updated and rebooted to complete installation. Please do not update files stored on the network file servers during these time periods.

Due to planned maintenance by the hosting company, Blackboard will be unavailable from 2:00-6:00AM this Friday.

Should you experience any problems accessing Blackboard after 6:00AM on Friday 7/29, please contact the ITS Help Desk at 740-587-6395 or helpdesk@denison.edu so the Help Desk can follow up as soon as we open at 8:00AM.

Reminder: SciQuest Production Environment Downtime for 16.2 Promotion

This is a reminder that the SciQuest production environments will be unavailable from Friday, July 29, 2016 at 9 p.m. EDT until Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 12 p.m. EDT for the 16.2 release upgrade. Once the upgrades have been completed, you will be notified via email. At that time, you may begin using the new 16.2 features and functionality.

If you have any questions or issues, please submit them through the Customer Support Portal.

Update 7/22/16 1:30pm

The network gear is now running on a generator for west and north campus. The generator will power the gear through the evening into tomorrow. Gear should be moved back to building power on Saturday 7/23/16.

Update 7/22/16 12:45:

Due to electrical work being completed in Curtis, the networking gear was transferred to a temporary generator. This has not been a smooth transition causing one of our core network devices to reboot multiple times. As of now the gear seems to be back online and stabilized.

Network services have returned to Smith Hall.

Update 7/25/16 10:30am:

Claypool Electric hopes to have the fiber optic cabling work completed by 1pm today. Once this is completed network services will return to Smith.

Claypool Electric will be performing power and cabling maintenance starting Friday 7/22/16 at 8am. The maintenance is planned to be finished by Monday morning 7/25/16. Network to Smith Hall will be down during the duration of the maintenance.
