The ITS team, working closely with our vendor partners, successfully resolved the Eduroam issues late last night.

To ensure a smooth transition, please switch your devices to the Eduroam WiFi network as soon as possible. To enroll in Eduroam for the first time, follow these directions. Denison-Guest will remain accessible but will require login every 24 hours starting next week.

ITS is working tirelessly with our vendors to resolve the ongoing eduroam connectivity issues, but it’s proving to be more complex than anticipated.

To ensure reliable internet access on the first day of classes, we ask that you:

  • Use the Denison Guest network. We’ve increased capacity to support increased use.
  • Use the VPN for accessing on-campus resources like Banner or your U: drive.
  • Use Denison_Play for streaming and gaming on devices like Apple TVs and Xbox.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Our top priority is to restore full Eduroam functionality as soon as possible.

ITS has received reports that some users are experiencing issues connecting to the Eduroam WiFi network. We are working diligently to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, you can still access the internet through the Denison-Guest WiFi network. This network is for general internet access only. For those who need to access on-campus resources like Banner or U: drive, please use the GlobalProtect VPN.

We experienced a campus-wide outage affecting Google websites, which ITS is currently investigating. The outage occurred between 3:11 PM and 3:12 PM. Based on our monitoring, it appears that only Google websites lost connectivity, while other websites continued to function normally. You may have noticed this issue if you were using any Google web services, particularly Google Meet.

ITS will be performing maintenance on the RStudio server on Saturday, August 24th starting at 5 am. r.denison.edu will be unavailable during this period. Please stop any running code on RStudio by midnight to ensure there are no issues when the service returns online.

As part of a Denison phone system update, phone services (including all inbound and outbound calls) will be unavailable during the following approximate times:

  • Sunday, 8/11: 11:30pm-12:00am
  • Monday, 8/12: 1:30-2:00am

The timing may vary somewhat. To avoid dropped calls, please avoid using Denison phone services during the entire update window of Sunday, 8/11 at 10:00pm to Monday, 8/12 at 4:00am if possible.
