Denison Information Technology Services (ITS) will be releasing security patches and critical updates to Windows computers the evening of Wednesday, January 8, 2020.  Users will be notified when updates are available via a Windows prompt that states, “You need some updates. Please select this message to install.”

ITS recommends users install the updates at their earliest convenience. Updates will take about 30 minutes to install, including a reboot to complete the process.

MyDenison will be down for maintenance this Friday January 10th at 8pm. Due to the nature of the upgrade the site will be down for many hours. We plan to have it back up and available by Midnight. This post will be updated once the upgrade is complete.

Information Technology Services (ITS) has released the latest versions of R and R Studio to all Denison lab computers.

The latest versions are as follows:

  • R Studio – 1.2.5033
  • R – 3.6.2

Information Technology Services (ITS) is in the process testing upcoming updates. During testing, an erroneous email went to some Denison community members about a key request. A sample email is below:

“Your Key/Access Request was received and has been processed.  If this request was for card access, you should now be able to use your ID card to open that door.  If this request was for a key, please stop by the Accounting Office on the 3rd Floor of Doane Hall to pick up your key after 2pm today or anytime after today.  If you have any questions or concerns, please email: idcardsandkeys@denison.edu.”
