Update 2025-08-04: The updated Denison Login is available for Google Workspace. Unexpected complications required reverting to the previous login experience for other services. Once these issues are resolved, the updated Denison Login will be available for the remaining services.

Beginning Monday, August 4, you will see an updated Denison Login screen, also known as Single Sign-On (SSO), when you use your Denison account to access Banner, Canvas, MyDenison, Google Workspace, and other services. You may already recognize the updated login screen from signing into Workday.

This refreshed login screen features a modern design and enhanced security features to better protect your Denison account against cyber threats. Your login credentials do not change – you will continue to use the same username, password, and Duo authentication.

ITS will be performing a campus firewall and GlobalProtect VPN upgrade on Thursday, 08/07/2025, from 6 pm to 10 pm, to enhance the security, reliability, and performance of our campus network. It will promote a safer and more stable environment for all students, faculty, and staff.

What: Network Upgrade (Campus Firewall & GlobalProtect VPN)
When: Thursday, August 7, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Impact: Intermittent network outages for all campus users

What to Expect During the Maintenance Window

During this four-hour window, the campus network will be unstable. You will experience periods where network connectivity is unavailable. While services may be accessible at times, you should plan for connections to be unreliable. This will affect all network services, including but not limited to:

  • Campus Wi-Fi
  • Wired internet access in offices, classrooms, labs, and residence halls
  • GlobalProtect VPN
  • General internet access from campus and services hosted on campus

How to Prepare

We strongly advise against planning any critical online activities (such as taking online exams, meeting project deadlines, or participating in video calls) during the 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM window. Please save your work frequently if you are on campus during this time.

We will update this post once the maintenance is complete.

Please DO NOT plan on using the Denison phone or voicemail system on Tuesday 7/22/2025 from 5:00-7:00AM and Thursday from 12:01-4:00AM. Denison’s phone system provider is completing a network and data center migration that may cause service interruptions during these time windows. Please use a non-Denison phone if you need to make calls.
