Beginning around 4:45 pm, we experienced a network outage involving equipment in our primary data center. Services have been restored as of ~8:00 and we are analyzing logs to determine the cause of the event.
*Completed* Wireless Upgrade in Prospect House – 1/24/2014
On Friday January 24th, ITS will be performing an upgrade of the wireless network in Prospect House. Wireless internet access will be intermittent during the upgrade.

ITS will be applying an update to Cognos/BI Reporting environment which requires Cognos services to be stopped. As a result, Cognos/BI Reporting will be unavailable on Thursday 1/23/14 from 6-8AM. This update is occurring during the official ITS maintenance window and is expected to be completed within that maintenance window.

Dorm wireless issues – East quad 1/21/14 16:00
We have confirmed wireless issues in residential areas in the east quad and have restored access in most locations. We are currently working to ensure all locations are working correctly and investigate the cause of the issue.
*Completed* Planned Network Maintenance in Bryant Hall, 1/23/14 5-7AM
Network Engineers will be installing equipment in Bryant Hall from 5-7AM on 1-23-14. This will cause network outages during this time period. Please note, contractors will be installing cabling in Bryant Hall leading up to the cut over to the new equipment.
*Completed* Emergency Network Maintenance in Knapp Hall, 1/21/14 5-7AM
Network engineers will be performing maintenance on the network switches for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors in Knapp Hall on Tuesday, 1/21/14 from 5-7am. This will cause temporary network outages in Knapp during that time frame.
*Completed* Wireless Maintenance in Crawford 1/17/14
Tomorrow morning, ITS will be performing maintenance on the wireless network in Crawford to address some connectivity issues. This will occur from 5:00AM to 7:00AM.
Wireless Upgrades in Olin & Fellows
Beginning today wireless upgrades will be performed in Olin & Fellows. There will be intermittent outages in these buildings until the upgrades are complete. The upgrades are scheduled to be completed by Friday.

On Wednesday, January 15th, ITS will be performing maintenance on the wireless network that will cause intermittent wireless outages throughout campus. This will occur from 5:00AM to 7:00AM.
Planned server maintenance: brief interruption for Oracle Calendar on 1/15/14 between 4:30am and 5:00am
ITS is planning to run the repair utility on Oracle Calendar on Wednesday, 1/15/14 between 4:30am and 5:00am. Oracle Calendar will be unavailable during this process.
