ITS is planning to install latest updates on Novell OES servers hosting shared network drives (PERSONAL, SHARED, MEDIA, SCRATCH, etc) on Friday, 6/13/14 between 4:00am and 7:30am.  As these updates are being applied, there will be outages lasting upto 60min for the above network drives and printing while servers are upgraded and rebooted to complete installation.

ITS will be updating servers on Wednesday, 6/11/14, between 4:00AM and 7:30AM. We do not anticipate the updates to cause any disruption, but please contact the Helpdesk if you experience an issue logging in to your workstation after the maintenance period has ended.

The ITS Help Desk received a report of an “Error 502” message appearing when trying to access documents in Google Drive. The Google Apps Status Dashboard indicates that Google is aware of an  issue with Google Drive and is investigating. For updates from Google, please see the Google Apps Status Dashboard.

Update: 6/4/2014 7am – Network maintenance completed.  All should be operating normally.

Wednesday, June 4th,between 5 and 7am, we will be modifying network settings on switches in 4 buildings on campus: Physical Plant, Kappa Sig, Beta, and Chamberlin.  We will also be working on the connection to the switches in Moshier Hutchinson.  These changes will cause minor network outages within these buildings and could cause some overall network disruption.

ITS will be making changes to the campus firewalls between 5AM and 6:00AM on May 20, 2014. During this time there will be brief interruptions to Internet traffic from on-campus and off-campus access to on-campus resources, such as MyDenison.

Wireless Maintenance will be occurring on 5-18-14 between 9:00AM and 4:00PM. The maintenance will cause a temporary outages. A Network Engineer will be on site for these outages. All room reservations and featured events for 5-18-14 have been taken into consideration for this maintenance. In the event of a room reservation being affected by a wireless network outage the Network Engineer will provide advanced warning. Outages are expected to last approximately 1 minute at each location. Athletics facilities will not be affected by this maintenance. This maintenance will result in the completion of a configuration change for our wireless network equipment in Academic and Administrative locations.
