ITS has received and confirmed reports that the “Denison Directory” option on Cisco phones in a number of buildings is not working. When the Denison Directory is selected, the phone displays “Error! Host Not Found”. If you experience this issue, when you have a few minutes, please unplug the network cable in the far left data jack on the bottom of your phone and then plug it back in. This will reboot and re-register your phone.

Information Technology Services (ITS) will be performing upgrades to core network infrastructure Saturday, January 11, 2020 beginning at 7:00 AM. As a precaution, Banner and related services will be shutdown. During this time, Banner Admin Pages, Self-Service, and all related systems such as Xtender, Jaggaer (e-procurement), Cognos, and portions of MyDenison that rely on Banner data will be unavailable.

When the network maintenance is completed and Banner services are restored, this post will be updated with additional information.

Denison Information Technology Services (ITS) will be releasing security patches and critical updates to Windows computers the evening of Wednesday, January 8, 2020.  Users will be notified when updates are available via a Windows prompt that states, “You need some updates. Please select this message to install.”

ITS recommends users install the updates at their earliest convenience. Updates will take about 30 minutes to install, including a reboot to complete the process.
