ITS will be making changes to the campus firewalls between 5AM and 6:00AM on May 20, 2014. During this time there will be brief interruptions to Internet traffic from on-campus and off-campus access to on-campus resources, such as MyDenison.

Wireless Maintenance will be occurring on 5-18-14 between 9:00AM and 4:00PM. The maintenance will cause a temporary outages. A Network Engineer will be on site for these outages. All room reservations and featured events for 5-18-14 have been taken into consideration for this maintenance. In the event of a room reservation being affected by a wireless network outage the Network Engineer will provide advanced warning. Outages are expected to last approximately 1 minute at each location. Athletics facilities will not be affected by this maintenance. This maintenance will result in the completion of a configuration change for our wireless network equipment in Academic and Administrative locations.

The faulty equipment has been replaced.  All seems to be back to normal.

Currently only Rose House is being affected by the problem.  Network Engineer has been dispatched to the site.

Outages may be seen in Kappa Sig, Physical Plant and Althetic Fields at this time due to troubleshooting.

Network is down in Athletics on the west end and affecting the outdoor field areas beginning about 12:15am.  We have a switch down.

The server Ruby has been restarted and S drive is back to normal operation.

Server Ruby that hosts the SHARED drive has experienced a hardware problem, ITS is working to restore the S drive access. All other Novell services are up and running.

We have received reports that at least some of Novell is unavailable.  We are investigating.

On Thursday, May 1, 2014 between 6 AM and 7 AM – ITS will apply updates and patches to the Banner Human Resources module.

 The expected downtime associated with the updates will be approximately 30 minutes.
