Internet access on campus will be down from 5-7:30AM on Tuesday 1/7 while ITS conducts work to increase capacity for our primary and backup Internet connections. This means that access to externally hosted services such as www.denison.edu, Google Apps and Blackboard will not be possible from on campus but will be available from off campus. Access to internally hosted services such as Banner and MyDenison will not be available from off campus.
During this time, ITS will also be performing wireless upgrades in the Physical Plant and replacing network equipment in Burke. Expect outages in these areas.

New wireless equipment was installed in Burton Morgan yesterday and installations are taking place in Samson Talbot today. We will be communicating with members of the Denison community for each area that is being transitioned to avoid wireless connectivity issues. Update 9/24/13 8AM:

The network maintenance work in Ebaugh, Olin, Fellows, and Barney-Davis was completed at 7AM. The work in Knapp will be rescheduled for another Tuesday or Thursday maintenance window.

There will be temporary wireless internet outages between 5:00AM and 6:00AM on 9/24/13 for network maintenance in Ebaugh, Olin and Fellows.

There will be temporary wired internet outages between 6:00AM and 7:00AM on 9/24/13 for network maintenance in Blair Knapp Hall and Barney-Davis Hall.

To adapt to one of our vendors schedule the networking group will be preforming maintenance on the network from 6am to 8am. Registration for students will be cleared during this window and work will be preformed on one of our devices. Students on campus using their own devices will need to re-register their devices after this maintenance window in areas where registration is active. There will be intermittent outages from 7am to 8am.
