Network testing will occur between 5:00AM & 7:00AM on 4/22/14 for continued testing of wireless equipment. The process will only effect the 4th floor of Samson Talbot. Temporary wireless network outages will occur during this time frame in this location.

Network testing will occur between 5:00AM & 7:00AM on 4/8/14 for continued testing of wireless equipment. The process will only effect the 4th floor of Slayter and the 4th floor of Samson-Talbot. Temporary network outages will occur during this time frame in these locations.

Network testing will be performed in Samson Talbot, Burton Morgan and Slayter on 4/1/14 between the hours of 5:00AM and 7:00AM. This testing will result in temporary service disruptions as we will be simulating power outages for data collection purposes.

On 2/20/14, during the ITS maintenance window of 5:00AM to 7:00AM, work will be completed on the wireless network in administrative and academic areas. There will also be work completed on the wired network in Talbot and the Mitchell Center. Temporary outages may occur from 5:00AM to 7:00AM.

The planned maintenance for 2/12/14 was completed. Continued maintenance is expected in Herrick to complete the project.

 

Planned:

Installation of new networking equipment will begin in Herrick Performance Hall on 2/12/14 at 1:30PM. This will include installation of a networking box, a network switch and cable runs for new wireless access points. The work will be preformed after regularly scheduled classes and the building has been reserved for ITS maintenance from 1:30PM to 5:00PM.

Due to priority tasks this work will be delayed until Wendesday, 2/12/14.

This will include installation of a networking box, a network switch and cable runs for new wireless access points. While work will begin at 8:00AM it will not interrupt the regularly scheduled classes. Work will continue throughout the day until completed.

Completed:

A software upgrade will be performed on Tuesday morning that may impact the majority of residential wireless. There will be temporary outages from 5:00AM to 7:00AM

Wireless installations were completed in Bryant Hall as 2/4/14.

 Update:

Temporary outages will continue in Bryant Hall tomorrow while new equipment is being installed. New equipment installation was completed on the ground, 1st and 2nd floor.

Bryant Hall will have temporary wireless outages on 2/3/14. This will occur throughout the morning and possibly the afternoon. We will be removing old wireless equipment and transitioning in new wireless equipment. Please plan accordingly.

Bancroft and Shannon will also be transitioning to new equipment and this will occur either Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.
