Technical Services identified a network outage from 3:47pm to 3:54pm on 2/24/15. The outage interrupted services for Rose House, Physical Plant, and Kappa Sigma. A power shortage is the suspected cause of the outage. If another source of the outage is identified we will update this post accordingly.

Network maintenance will be performed between 5:00AM and 7:00AM on February 17th. We do not expect this maintenance to cause network outages.

Completed at 7:00AM.

 

The following locations may experience network outages between 5:00AM and 7:00AM on 10/21/14: Slayter 4th floor, Doane Administration 3rd floor, Fellows 1st & ground floor and the Mitchell Center.

As part of this maintenance window we also worked in  the first floor of Burton Morgan.  There was a brief interruption to the network connection in that area as well.

We will be performing planned maintenance on several network devices in Academic and Administrative buildings on 10/10/14 from 5:00AM to 7:00AM. This work may result in loss of wired and wireless connectivity in those buildings for approximately 15 minutes.

10/10/14 ~ Maintenance has completed as of 7:00am this morning.

Update: The network maintenance scheduled for, 7/29/14, was completed at 7:00AM.

 

Original: On Tuesday, 7/29/14, wireless network maintenance will be performed that will cause periodic outages for the entire Denison community. The outages may vary in length and location. These outages will take place between 5:00AM and 7:00AM.

Update: Due to unforeseen circumstances the wireless outage did not take place until 1:45PM. The outage lasted roughly 3 minutes. If you are in residential locations and find that you are unable to connect to the wireless network please contact the help desk.

Maintenance will be performed on residential wireless devices today at 1:00PM to enable backup processes. This will be a brief outage of 5 to 15 minutes. An update will be posted to netnotes once this task is completed.

Wireless Maintenance will be occurring on 5-18-14 between 9:00AM and 4:00PM. The maintenance will cause a temporary outages. A Network Engineer will be on site for these outages. All room reservations and featured events for 5-18-14 have been taken into consideration for this maintenance. In the event of a room reservation being affected by a wireless network outage the Network Engineer will provide advanced warning. Outages are expected to last approximately 1 minute at each location. Athletics facilities will not be affected by this maintenance. This maintenance will result in the completion of a configuration change for our wireless network equipment in Academic and Administrative locations.
