Action Needed: Connect/Reconnect to eduroam Using New, More Secure Connection Method

Information Technology Services (ITS) has implemented a new, more secure approach to connecting to Denison’s secure wireless network, eduroam. While on-campus, please take a few moments to connect/reconnect to eduroam using the new SecureW2 WiFi enrollment tool.

IMPORTANT! You will need an active network connection on your device. If your device does not currently have an active network connection, please select the Denison-JoinWiFi wireless network.

To get started, open a web browser and go to joinwifi.denison.edu and click JOINNOW

For detailed instructions with screenshots, please see the appropriate quick reference guide for your device: Mac, Windows, iPhone/iPad, Android, Chromebook

Why the change? The new approach connects your device by certificate which protects you from the vulnerabilities associated with username and password-based authentication. It works on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, and ChromeOS devices. Please note that the user certificate added during the SecureW2 enrollment process is separate from the server certificate for eduroam which was updated on Thursday 8/5/2021. You may see a prompt to accept or trust the new server certificate and must accept it to successfully connect to eduroam (see the eduroam certificate update announcement).
