On Sunday, 3/10, the ITS department will be performing important infrastructure maintenance. The planned outage period for this maintenance is from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please expect for the following services to be inaccessible during this period:

  • Novell network storage
  • MyDenison Portal
  • Banner, Self Service
  • ITS Online Helpdesk
  • Extensis
  • Cognos

You may continue to access Denison Apps, Blackboard and PeopleAdmin by using the addresses below. We will post any status updates regarding the maintenance here.

  • Denison Apps – http://apps.denison.edu
  • Blackboard – http://courses.denison.edu
  • PeopleAdmin – https://employment.denison.edu/hr/sso

MyDenison (https://my.denison.edu) will be unavailable on Tuesday, February 26 from 7:30AM for approximately 10 minutes for maintenance. In the mean time, other services will remain available at these URLs:

If you experience any issues using MyDenison after this time, please contact the ITS Help Desk at 740-587-6395 or helpdesk@denison.edu.

On Friday, February 22nd, between 4pm and 4:30 there was network instability that caused customers to get disconnected from Banner.  The problem has been corrected and network was stable again by 4:30.

Please note that the new MyDenison site does not allow access to those accounts that are not Denison Faculty, Denison Staff and Denison Students.  Accounts for contractor staff (e.g. Sodexo) and others that do not fall in the 3 main categories, must access their Denison Apps email and calendar directly at via the link email.denison.edu (or apps.denison.edu).

Update 2/6 9:00AM: At this time ITS believes the “Temporarily Unavailable” issue has been resolved. Should you continue to experience issues accessing content in MyDenison, please contact the ITS Help Desk at 740-587-6395 or helpdesk@denison.edu.

If you currently see a “Temporarily Unavailable” error message on some content within the Student, Teaching and Learning, or Employment tabs in MyDenison, please rest assured ITS is working to correct the issue. In the mean time you may access DU Self-Service by clicking the blue Self Service icon in the upper-right corner of MyDenison. Alternatively, you may log in to DU Self-Service separately at https://web4prod.denison.edu.

MyDenison (https://my.denison.edu) will be unavailable on Thursday, January 31 from 7:00AM until approximately 8:30AM for maintenance. In the mean time, other services will remain available at these URLs:

Once the new & improved MyDenison system has been brought online, users will notice a redesigned interface and a multitude of new features. If you experience any issues using MyDenison after this time, please contact the ITS Help Desk at 740-587-6395 or helpdesk@denison.edu.

Update 1/28 8:00Am
Thank you for your support this weekend. Queries reveal new data in the ODS, so from that perspective it was a success. There are still some errors on the ODS logs and we will continue to work with Ellucian to insure the health and stability of the ODS/Cognos data.

Please use Banner for look up only this Saturday all day. Processing and updates should be avoided. The availability of data in the Cognos/ODS packages will be unpredictable during the entire weekend. The Cognos Ztable packages will remain available for reporting throughout the weekend.

Update 1/24/2013 6:25pm: Work has completed. Please report any issues to the ITS Help Desk at 740-587-6395 or helpdesk@denison.edu.

A bandwidth shaper configuration change will be put in place this evening at 6pm.  This may cause an internet outage of up to 15 minutes.

Update 1/24/13 8:12A:

Service has been restored. Please report any issues to the ITS Help Desk at 740-587-6395 or helpdesk@denison.edu
