The Novell servers providing the login services to campus computers experienced an issue earlier today between approx. 11:40am and 2pm  that caused login problems on some campus Windows and Mac computers. The issue has been resolved, please notify Help Desk if you see any more problems logging-in to campus computers.

Update: 8:10am Maintenance is complete and job submission services have been restored.

Update: 7:45am all non-Focus jobs are back up. We are continuing to restore job submission services to Focus.

Update: 7:34am maintenance is not yet complete.

The Banner job submission sub-system will be affected by routine maintenance Tuesday, June 25, between 5:00 and 7:00am. During this time Banner will remain accessible. Users may submit jobs, but execution of the job and delivery of the output will be delayed until after the outage. Please check Netnotes.denison.edu for updates.

If you have difficulty with these services after Netnotes has been updated to indicate maintenance is complete, please email helpdesk@denison.edu (monitored by Enterprise Apps immediately following the outage) or call (740)587-6395 and leave a message which the Helpdesk will review when they open at 8:30am.

ITS will be performing scheduled network maintenance on 6/25 during the maintenance window of 5:00 to 7:00 a.m. These configuration changes/updates are expected to produce a 15-30 minute outage for much of the campus wireless network.

*Update 8:00am, 6/22 – Our provider has restored connectivity as of 1:42am.

*Update 8:51, 6/21 – Our provider still acknowledges a break in our fiber connection, but has been unable to determine the specific location of the break. Once that occurs they will provide us with an estimated time for repair.

*Update 18:49- Our provider confirms there is an outage and they are working on it

We are experiencing problems with our primary Internet connection and are currently investigating. Connection speeds to the Internet will be noticeably slower.

*Update 12:30 p.m.: Everything seems to be working correctly after this brief issue. ITS is continuing to monitor the situation.

ITS has received several reports of individuals/offices being logged out of Banner or being unable to get to DU Self-Service or submit a job through Banner. ITS is investigating the situation. Due to a power issue, wireless network connectivity is not currently available in the Mitchell track area or in Bancroft and Shannon houses. ITS and Physical Facilities are working on the problem. An update will be posted here when service is restored.
