Resolved – Denison Apps Mail (Gmail) Issues – Wed 8/7/13 AM

Update 9:15AM:

The issue with Denison Apps mail has been resolved. Email is back up and running. If you experience any additional issues, please contact the ITS Help Desk at 740-587-6395.

Update 8:40AM:

ITS has confirmed that there are continuing issues accessing Denison Apps mail (apps.denison.edu).  This appears to be a problem on Google’s side – attempts to go to gmail.com also fail.

Other components of Denison Apps such as Drive, Calendar, Groups, and Sites are available and can be accessed at their direct URLs:

Email can be sent and received via email clients such as a Gmail/email app on a smartphone or tablet and Apple Mail on a Mac.

ITS has confirmed that there are issues logging into apps.denison.edu and, if successful logging in, there are issues with server timeouts when trying to send mail.  We are investigating and will post updates here as soon as they are available.
