Information Security professionals are warning that there is a new, aggressive “ransomware*” phishing attack going on which uses attachments with fake resumes of a nonexistent girl AND/OR compromised websites to infect your computer. To protect your computer and data:
- Do NOT open any attachments that look anything like a zipped resume.
- Do not go to unknown websites.
- Make sure that all the applications on your computer are up to date.
*Ransomware is a type of malicious software designed to block access to a computer system and its data until a sum of money is paid.
