ITS will be performing wireless network maintenance on Thursday 2/16/17 from 6:00-7:00am which will limit the visibility of Airplay, Chromecast, and other similar type devices. After this maintenance, you will only be able to see devices that are inside the building you are currently in.

There have been a few more power outages that have caused network outages since the last update. Currently the Bryant Arts Center is without network. Once power seems to have stabilized we will work on bringing the Bryant network back online.

We have recently noticed that several wireless access points (wireless routers) across campus have been rebooting in the middle of the day. This has been occurring over the past 3-4 weeks and would usually happen less than one time a day. We will be putting in a fix tomorrow (11/10/16) that we hope will address this issue. You may or may not have noticed the effects of this.

All network services are back online. There was a power event that impacted a good portion of campus. The Bryant Arts Building took the longest to restore due to a power supply that we had to manually turn on after the event.

This coming Thursday 10/27/16 between 5-7am ITS will be removing the “denison” wireless network campus wide. Please take this time to move your computer to “eduroam” if you are still using “denison” as a wireless network. “eduroam” is our secure wireless network offered throughout campus. If your device will not work on “eduroam” then you can use “Denison Guest” for wireless access.
