There appears to have been an unplanned power outage that has impacted much of the wired and wireless network across campus. We will be looking into all outages and will give an update when possible.

Network has returned to Cinema House and Morrow.

Update 7-1-17 8:54am:

Power has returned to the majority of the network across campus. There are still network devices down in Cinema House and Morrow. We will resolve this as soon as possible.

According to the AEP power outages map, there is a power outage in the area. Due to this power outage there are wired and wireless network outages in several areas across campus. AEP is estimating a restoration time of 7:30am.

There was electrical maintenance done by facilities in Curtis West today that took down a core piece of network equipment. This resulted in the loss of network and phones on the west end of campus. Physical plant was also impacted by this outage. If you are still experiencing trouble after this time please contact the ITS Helpdesk at 740-587-6395.

Update: 3/14/17 10:00am

Network has returned to south campus with the exception of Ace Morgan Theatre. Ace Morgan Theatre is still without power.

We believe that the PBX phone issue has been resolved. Windstream had to make a call routing change on their end in order for calls to go through.

Update 2/23/17 4:13pm:

It appears that calls from a PBX phone (old phone system) to a Dialpad phone number is not currently going through. A ticket has been opened with Windstream to investigate.

Dialpad to Dialpad and Dialpad to PBX phone calls all seem to be working at this time.

Original Post:

There have been reports of failed call transfers form our dispatch operators who are still using the old PBX phone system. If you have not been ported over to Dialpad yet and still use your old PBX phone you may run into this issue. ITS is looking into it and will update this post as soon as one is available.

We believe that Dialpad call transfers are still functioning correctly.
