On 6/15/17 ITS will release an upgrade to McAfee Endpoint Security on Denison-owned Windows computers. This upgrade is “silent” and will not impact your ability to use your computer while it is happening. At some point during the upgrade process, you might notice a Windows notification regarding your antivirus protection being off. It should resolve itself after a short period of time once the new software is installed and running. If the Windows notification stays there permanently, please contact the ITS Help Desk at helpdesk@denison.edu or 740-587-6395.

Update: The storage / database work has been completed. Banner services have been made available. If you experience any Banner issues after this time, please contact the ITS Help Desk at 740-587-6395 or via helpdesk@denison.edu.
Original Post: There will be a brief Banner outage, early morning on Memorial Day, (5/29) from 6 AM – 9 AM to address some database storage issues. This outage will impact all Banner modules.
An update will be issued once the work is finished and Banner is back online and available.
Issues have been resolved.
There are currently some issues surrounding Self-Service Banner and proxy authentication access. Some SSB components may not be available and their subsequent links may also be broken. ITS is currently working on this issue.
As announced in the campus email earlier this year, we will be releasing additional Cybersecurity training modules to select individuals/departments who work with sensitive data, such as protected health information (PHI) and cardholder data (CD/PCI). Notifications from our training partner, KnowBe4.com, will start arriving today from an email address of “do-not-reply@knowbe4.com”. These additional modules are shorter than the general awareness training, ranging from 5 to 10 minutes.
