To prepare our infrastructure for new wireless deployments in administrative and academic buildings we have an engineer on campus from our wireless vendor who will be performing some upgrades. This work will result in a wireless outage for Chamberlin, Mitchell, and the Doane mailroom. An update will be provided when this work is complete.

UPDATE: 8/6/2013 6:30pm – Mail is now being processed.  This problem also affect mail being sent from admin servers for confirmations.

8/6/13 2:00 pm – We currently working to fix a problem where jobs scanned to email on Laniers aren’t being sent. You can still scan to your LAN Inbox while we are addressing this issue.

ITS will be performing scheduled network maintenance on 7/23/2013 during the maintenance window of 5:00a.m. to 7:00a.m. These configuration updates are expected to produce a 15-30 minute outage for some buildings in the Academic Quad, South Quad, East quad and Athletics.

*Update 15:00 7/18 – Login services appear to be functioning normally again. We will continue to monitor the situation.

We are aware of the intermittent login issues occurring on PC’s and Mac’s today across campus, and have narrowed in on a possible issue, but are still investigating.

We will be introducing two minor policy changes to the McAfee Anti-Virus product installed on campus PC’s. One change improves product effectiveness and the other improves system stability.  These changes are not expected to be noticeable. Please notify the helpdesk if you experience any issue that you believe may be related to these policy changes.

*Update 8:00am, 6/22 – Our provider has restored connectivity as of 1:42am.

*Update 8:51, 6/21 – Our provider still acknowledges a break in our fiber connection, but has been unable to determine the specific location of the break. Once that occurs they will provide us with an estimated time for repair.

*Update 18:49- Our provider confirms there is an outage and they are working on it

We are experiencing problems with our primary Internet connection and are currently investigating. Connection speeds to the Internet will be noticeably slower.
