Access to Banner, Cognos, S/U drives, etc… will be interrupted for about 30 minutes during the maintenance window. General internet access will be available during the outage except in these buildings:

Fellows, Library, Higley, Ebaugh, Herrick, Talbot, Barney, Knapp, Slayter, Doane Admin, and Beth Eden

We have run into problems during the network maintenance and need to reboot the core device again.  This will cause another outage for all the buildings below.  Currently, Beth Eden, Crawford, and East are down.

The R Server (r.denison.edu) will be down for maintenance this Thursday June 17th between 6am and 7am. The server will be moved to a different runtime environment. This post will be updated once the change is complete.

This maintenance will require that the personal web hosting server (webby) be down while the updates are occurring. While we don’t expect it to cause any other outages, it would be best to not edit files over the network or submit information online during this time period as your work could be lost if a problem occurs.

Google indicates that the new applications can take up to 24 hours to show up on all Denison accounts.

Information Technology Services (ITS) is enabling two new applications on all Denison Google Workspace (formerly G Suite, aka Denison Apps) accounts. You will have access to Google Maps and Google My Maps from your Denison account beginning Wednesday, December 9 at 3:30PM. Because these applications are outside the current educational agreement, you may be prompted to agree to an additional privacy statement after the applications have been enabled.
