UPDATE: Maintenance has been completed.  All wireless should be up.

To continue work in correcting performance issues on wireless, ITS will be making a change to the wireless environment  on Thursday morning 11/8 between 5 and 7:30am.  During this time, wireless equipment will be unavailable for short periods of time.  If you experience problems connecting to wireless after 7:30AM, please contact the ITS Help Desk at 740-587-6395 or helpdesk@denison.edu.

*Clarification 15:11 10/23 – It was not equipment that failed, but fiber cabling to that equipment.

*Update – The network connection to the 4th floor in Fellows has been restored.

We had some equipment that died due to the power outages last night.  We are in the process of replacing it.

*Update: Problem has been corrected.

*Update:  Some residential areas are experiencing problems as well.

Due to yesterday’s power outage there is a problem with some admin offices getting to the Internet and some of Denison’s servers.  We are working on the issue.

There may be network interruptions on Friday May 4th sometime between 12:01am and 6:00am due to maintenance being performed by our internet service provider.  The interruptions should be no longer than 15 minutes and may prevent any traffic from going to or from outside sites.  This will impact access to Denison Apps, Blackboard, and any other service required from sources outside Denison’s local network.

Due to people responding to phishing messages, we had several accounts broken into last night and used to send spam.  Because of the spam going out, other services like Roadrunner are currently refusing our messages.  They will start accepting messages when they’ve determined that we are no longer the source of the spam.

Please do not respond to requests for your email credentials.
