The faulty equipment has been replaced.  All seems to be back to normal.

Currently only Rose House is being affected by the problem.  Network Engineer has been dispatched to the site.

Outages may be seen in Kappa Sig, Physical Plant and Althetic Fields at this time due to troubleshooting.

Network is down in Athletics on the west end and affecting the outdoor field areas beginning about 12:15am.  We have a switch down.

The server Ruby has been restarted and S drive is back to normal operation.

Server Ruby that hosts the SHARED drive has experienced a hardware problem, ITS is working to restore the S drive access. All other Novell services are up and running.

We have received reports that at least some of Novell is unavailable.  We are investigating.

One of the wireless controllers went down.  The backup controller has come up in it’s place and all access points seem to be functioning at this time.  If you are experiencing issues, please call the ITS Helpdesk at extension 6395 or send an email to helpdesk@denison.edu to report the problem.

We have received reports of network outages on the East quad.  Staff are investigating.

Update: The network switch has been replaced. The issue effected a section of 2nd floor wired Ethernet ports and did not effect the wireless in Crawford Hall.

Original Message: We have a switch in Crawford on the 2nd floor west end that is repeatedly crashing.  Support is aware of the problem and will be addressing it.

Update: 7:00am Testing has been completed.

We will be testing Internet connection failover through our backup service provider on 3/27 from 5-7AM. These tests may cause brief outages in Internet connectivity on campus, and interrupt access to all BigRedID services, such as MyDenison, from off campus.

Internet connectivity has been restored.  If you experience any problems connecting to the internet sites, please report them to the ITS Help Desk at 740-587-6395 or helpdesk@denison.edu.

Internet connectivity for Denison is down at the current time.  Engineers are aware of the problem and are troubleshooting the problem.
