Update 7/30/2014 8:20pm: We have correct the problem on the network.  We have a few buildings that still need a visit to make sure everything is up, but all is stable at this time.

Update 7/30/2014 4:20pm:  We are working with support to resolve the issues.  Currently, we do not have an estimated time for resolution of the problems.

We are aware of network slowness and are looking into the issues.

On July 31, 2014 beginning about 8am and ending about 5pm, AEP will be performing maintenance on our primary internet line.  While they are not expecting the maintenance to cause an outage, if an outage occurs, the Denison’s backup internet line should come up with little or no noticeable interruption.

On Thursday, 7/31/14, network maintenance will be performed in Burke between the hours of 5:00AM and 7:00AM.  A code upgrade to network equipment in this location will cause network outages for all of South campus.

On Thursday, 7/24/14, network maintenance will be performed in Curtis and Shaw between the hours of 5:00AM and 7:00AM. A code upgrade to network equipment in these locations will cause network outages for West quad, North quad, Facilities, East quad, Athletics, Beth Eden, Gilpatrick, Swasey, Observatory, and Whisler.

ITS will be making changes to the campus firewalls between 5:00AM and 7:00AM on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. During this time there will be brief interruptions to Internet traffic from on-campus and off-campus access to on-campus resources, such as MyDenison.

Update work has finished in Elm, Hayes and Wright.  The wireless in these buildings should be functional at this time.  If you are experiencing a problem, please contact the Helpdesk at extension 6395.

Update: June 23, 2014  1:20 – Problem seems to have been corrected.  Logins are now working fine.

Currently, we are experiencing problems with logging into Google Apps.  Those already logged in do not seem to be experiencing any problems.  The error we are seeing is: “Google Apps – Server error, We are unable to process your request at this time, please try again later.”  We will post updates to Netnotes as we have more information.
