On July 31, 2014 beginning about 8am and ending about 5pm, AEP will be performing maintenance on our primary internet line. While they are not expecting the maintenance to cause an outage, if an outage occurs, the Denison’s backup internet line should come up with little or no noticeable interruption.

On Thursday, 7/24/14, network maintenance will be performed in Curtis and Shaw between the hours of 5:00AM and 7:00AM. A code upgrade to network equipment in these locations will cause network outages for West quad, North quad, Facilities, East quad, Athletics, Beth Eden, Gilpatrick, Swasey, Observatory, and Whisler.
Firewall Maintenance
ITS will be making changes to the campus firewalls between 5:00AM and 7:00AM on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. During this time there will be brief interruptions to Internet traffic from on-campus and off-campus access to on-campus resources, such as MyDenison.
Resolved: Wireless connectivity 7/11
A server configuration issue may have interrupted some client wireless connectivity from approximately 22:20 on 7/10 until 11:50 on 7/11, with most problems likely to have been experienced this morning. The issue has been corrected.

We had an equipment failure in Burton Morgan at approximately 11:30am and in troubleshooting Beth Eden, Whisler and East quad was taken down by mistake. All is back up and running. If you are experiencing problems, please call the Helpdesk at extension 6395.

Wednesday, June 4th,between 5 and 7am, we will be modifying network settings on switches in 4 buildings on campus: Physical Plant, Kappa Sig, Beta, and Chamberlin.
